No osobne sa nás dotýkajú, akoby v detstve boli úplne samozrejmé, no kde sú?
The Old World
All of a sudden here comes the time when we are looking for something from the old world in which we grew up. Something that we considered constant, everlasting and now it seems so long-ago. We want to understand ourselves better, so we go deeper. We try to cope with what ceased to exist and we reflect on what is worth keeping. Which narratives transcend us as a nation over time, and yet they touch us personally, as if they were completely self-evident in our childhood - but where are they now? What if we just want to rest with them and let them impact us in the layover of time?
There are esspecially two such ancient places in my life: a settlement of a few wooden houses in the mountains called Nový svet (New World) where I have been coming for holiday since I was a child, and Mrs Judita´s apartment in Jerusalem that I have been hearing about since my childhood. Our wooden house has deteriorated to the point when it is beyond saving and Mrs Judita´s apartment is part of a house that is intended for demolition.
